Born in Cuba and bred in Miami, it is not surprising that Lourdes “Luli” Hanimian developed a keen interest in swimwear. Luli and her brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian are the creative forces behind Luli Fama. The designer duo met in 1990 while both working for Augusto’s aunt, a well-known swimsuit designer. Together they gained practical experience in the fashion and swimwear industry. Luli and Augusto first launched a company called Cover Style, a junior swim line. Then in 2003, Luli Fama was born.

Luli Fama has become known for its universally flattering fit and immaculate designs. Luli Fama incorporates an eclectic mix of vibrant hues and bold prints resulting in a unique signature that is festive yet sophisticated. Luli and Augusto are inspired by a variety of factors, including Luli’s Cuban finesse and Miami upbringing. The cosmopolitan culture and Latin influence in Luli Fama are apparent in the contemporary silhouettes and intense motifs. Luli and Augusto work with artists to create custom designs for all of their prints, making sure that each piece tells a story.

Originality is a fundamental component, as Luli Fama understands the importance of consumer wants yet staying true to brand’s philosophy. The assortment of exclusive pieces from the collection, including monokinis, bikinis, cover-ups and dresses, are made from exquisite shape enhancing fabrics that accentuate a woman’s figure and topped with details that speak volumes. Each piece is designed carefully to complement one another and can be worn day or night and styled for any occasion.

Additionally, Luli Fama recently expanded the brand — introducing a brand new eyewear collection, Eye Candy. A line of sunglasses that pair beautifully with Luli Fama swimsuits. Luli Fama continues to maintain its devoted following of A-listers including Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Aniston, Shakira, and Kate Hudson along with supermodels Adriana Lima, Bar Rafaeli, and Marissa Miller.
